On the US models, there is a higher grade of craftsmanship, from fine shaping to the Plek fret leveling. G&L S-500 Solid Body Guitar
I just had to take a picture of my own S-500 on this one. This g&l guitar was the most beautiful of the lot. The combinations of the sounds you can get from this G&L S-500 are amazing. These guitars are made one-by-one; not massed produced like their counter parts.
The Legacy’s vintage-spec CLF-100 Alnico V pickups have that unmistakable chime and quack reminiscent of the best examples from the late ’50s, thanks to the work of Paul Gagon, G&L VP Engineering. Gagon found his inspiration reviewing original prints stored in Leo’s private laboratory at G&L, but that was just the start.
